DJI launches Osmo 360 II 8K panoramic camera

DJI has officially launched the Osmo 360 II, a new 8K panoramic camera that has seen immediate commercial success. Following its release in China, the device topped sales charts on major platforms including JD.com, Tmall, and Douyin within its first 24 hours.

The Osmo 360 II features significant technical upgrades over its predecessor, including dual 1/1.1-inch square CMOS sensors designed to maximize image area utilization. Key specifications include native 8K/60fps video recording, 16K time-lapse capabilities, and a 14.5-stop dynamic range. The new model also introduces replaceable lenses, an improved 2,150 mAh battery, and AI Super Night View 2.0 for enhanced low-light performance.

In addition to the 360-degree camera, DJI continues to maintain its presence in the handheld imaging market with the Osmo Pocket series. Recent market activity includes price reductions for the Osmo Pocket 3 to remain competitive during the summer travel season, alongside the introduction of the Osmo Pocket 4P, which features a dual-sensor vertical arrangement for improved zoom capabilities.
