DJI launches Osmo Pocket 4P dual‑lens gimbal camera
DJI unveiled the Osmo Pocket 4P, a compact gimbal camera that adds a second telephoto lens (60 mm f/1.8) alongside the original 20 mm f/2.0 wide lens. The model also includes 103 GB of internal storage, expandable to 1 TB, and supports D‑Log2/10‑bit video for higher dynamic range. The device was launched in the Philippines, where it is priced at PHP 37,790 for the base unit and PHP 42,290 for a vlog combo, and the event featured local creators demonstrating new filming possibilities.
A workaround for the camera’s firmware limitation with external timecode devices was also detailed. Using a Saramonic SR‑C2001 USB‑C adapter, the Tentacle Sync E mkII can sync timecode to the Osmo Pocket 4P, enabling precise multi‑camera setups despite the native cable incompatibility.
