DK Metcalf and Normani announce engagement

NFL player DK Metcalf and singer Normani are engaged following a relationship that began through the matchmaking efforts of Russell Wilson and Ciara. Metcalf reportedly expressed interest in marrying Normani after seeing her ‘Motivation’ music video, long before the two had actually met.

Normani revealed in a 2024 Apple Music interview that Ciara was persistent in encouraging her to attend a party where Metcalf would be present. The couple first sparked dating rumors in June 2022 and eventually confirmed their romance publicly in July 2023 while attending the wedding of Metcalf’s former teammate, Tyler Lockett.
