DK Metcalf shares belief in conspiracy theory regarding Antarctica

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf has identified himself as a ‘big conspiracy theorist,’ citing a belief in a version of the Hollow Earth theory. In an interview with The Athletic, Metcalf suggested that another civilization may exist inside the Earth.

Metcalf pointed to the difficulty of booking travel to Antarctica as a primary reason for his suspicion, questioning why access to the continent is restricted compared to locations like Alaska or the North Pole. He also questioned the nature of international meetings held in Antarctica. While commercial travel to the Antarctic Peninsula is possible via ships from South America, the lack of commercial airports and government control over existing facilities contributes to his theories.
