DK9 road project: Residents favor variant 7 to minimize demolitions

Residents in the Kolbuszowski district are advocating for a specific route for the new national road DK9 between Komorów and Cmolas. Following information meetings organized by the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, most locals have expressed support for variant number 7.

Variant 7 is the longest of the analyzed options, spanning approximately 15.56 km. While it is the longest route, residents favor it because it is expected to require the fewest demolitions of existing buildings. The proposed route would start near the planned bypass of Nowa Dęba in the Huta Komorowska area and pass through forest, field, and meadow lands to the west of the current DK9, avoiding dense residential areas.

The project is a major road investment intended to connect the upcoming bypass of Nowa Dęba with the planned bypass of Kolbuszowa, creating a new communication corridor through the Podkarpacie region.
