DKSH acquires Newbridge Pharmaceuticals for $390 million

DKSH has announced the acquisition of Dubai-based Newbridge Pharmaceuticals for $390 million. This move marks the first expansion of the DKSH Healthcare division into the Middle East and North Africa, moving beyond its traditional focus on the Asia-Pacific region.

Newbridge Pharmaceuticals specializes in marketing medicines for rare and complex diseases, including oncology, neurology, immunology, and gastroenterology. The company operates across 14 markets, with significant presence in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. In addition to distribution, Newbridge assists pharmaceutical companies with market entry and access.

DKSH expects Newbridge to generate approximately $385 million in revenue by 2027, with an EBITDA margin in the high single digits. The transaction, financed through debt, is expected to positively impact DKSH's revenue growth, adjusted EBIT margin, and earnings per share. The existing management team at Newbridge is expected to remain with the company.
