DL E&C bids 2 trillion won for Seongsu 2 District redevelopment

DL E&C has submitted a formal bid proposal for a private contract to lead the redevelopment of the Seongsu Strategic Redevelopment District 2 in Seoul. The project, valued at approximately 2.01 trillion won, involves constructing 11 buildings with up to 65 floors, totaling 2,381 residential units.

Following two failed competitive bidding rounds, DL E&C was selected as the preferred negotiator. The company has proposed the complex name ‘Acro Seongsu’ and plans to collaborate with global firms including Arcadis, Arup, and Doka for structural design, alongside luxury designers such as Yabu Pushelberg and Martha Schwartz for interiors and landscaping.

The project aims to maximize Han River views for all units and includes premium amenities like a sky lounge and private studios. A final decision by the union members is expected during a general meeting scheduled for November 21. If successful, this would significantly bolster DL E&C’s urban redevelopment portfolio for the year.
