DLBA Egg Facility Fire in Turgutlu Causes Million‑Lira Damage

A fire broke out at a DLBA‑owned egg production facility in the Musacalı and Akköy neighbourhoods of Turgutlu district, Manisa Province, Turkey. The blaze, whose cause has not yet been determined, quickly engulfed roughly eight dunams of the plant. Fire crews from Turgutlu, Salihli, Ahmetli and Manisa city worked intensively to bring the flames under control.

The incident rendered the plant unusable and caused material losses estimated in the millions of Turkish lira. No employees or chickens were on site at the time, so there were no injuries or fatalities. Local fire and gendarmerie units have opened an investigation into the origin of the fire.
