DLG Law and SAKURA Law partner for Korea-Japan legal services

DLG Law Corporation and Japan-based SAKURA Law Office have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen legal support for companies operating between South Korea and Japan. The two firms will operate joint expert teams to assist with market entry, M&A, strategic alliances, and cross-border transactions.

The collaboration specifically targets emerging industries such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Web3, blockchain, and digital assets. These sectors face complex, overlapping regulations involving data protection, financial oversight, intellectual property, and employment laws that differ between the two nations. By working as a single integrated team from the initial planning stages, the firms aim to reduce the time, cost, and communication barriers companies face when seeking separate legal counsel in each country.

In addition to technology-focused sectors, the partnership will cover fintech, venture capital, private equity, and international dispute resolution. SAKURA Law Office, established in Tokyo in 2020, brings expertise in decentralized autonomous organizations (DAO) and metaverse regulations, while DLG Law Corporation provides specialized services for startups and technical ventures.
