DLSS-IV mod brings HDR and advanced upscaling to GTA IV

A new technical modification titled ‘DLSS-IV’, created by modder ChunkLeChuck, has been released to address long-standing performance and optimization issues in Grand Theft Auto IV on PC.

The mod introduces native support for NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR technologies. The latest update provides automatic FSR 4 support for Radeon RX 7000 and RX 9000 series GPUs, allowing for improved temporal upscaling and higher frame rates without manual configuration. Users with other hardware can continue to utilize FSR 3.1.5 or manually select specific versions via configuration files.

In addition to upscaling, the project implements native HDR support by utilizing a linear scRGB FP16 color space, providing enhanced visual dynamics for modern displays. The mod also works alongside existing community fixes like FusionFix and DXVK to improve overall stability and CPU utilization in Liberty City.
