dm integrates Wero payment method in German online shop

The German drugstore chain dm has integrated the Wero payment method into its online shop. The integration was facilitated by the payment service provider Nexi Germany.

Wero is a European payment solution that enables real-time, account-to-account transactions without the need for credit cards or separate payment accounts. Users must have a checking account with one of the 18 participating banks and activate the Wero function within their banking app.

Nexi has been progressively connecting retailers to the system since establishing the technical requirements in early 2026. Previous integrations include the Bünting Group (Combi.de and MyTime.de), BAUR, and Quelle. This follows the implementation of Wero by Lidl, which was the first grocery retailer to adopt the method in its online checkout.
