Dům Panny Marie social services center opens in Havlíčkův Brod

The Dům Panny Marie (House of the Virgin Mary) officially opened on Tuesday, September 22, in Havlíčkův Brod. The facility was created through the reconstruction of a former school building located on U Trojice street.

The center serves as a centralized hub for various social services provided by the Oblastní charita Havlíčkův Brod, aiming to improve accessibility for individuals in difficult life situations. Under one roof, the facility will host professional counseling, social and preventive services, and other forms of support, including the Civic Counseling Center, the BAN! low-threshold club, and an early care center. Approximately 60 employees will work at the site, which also serves as a base for mobile services that visit clients in their homes.

The reconstruction project began in 2025 and was carried out by the company RONELI. The project was made possible through financial support from the European Union's National Recovery Plan, the Vysočina Region, and the city of Havlíčkův Brod.
