Mănești: One-year-old injured by knife used by three-year-old

A one-year-old child sustained a head injury after being struck with a knife by a three-year-old minor in the Mănești commune of Dâmbovița county, Romania. The incident occurred on a Friday afternoon while both children were under the supervision of a 15-year-old girl, who is the sister of the three-year-old.

Police from the Dragomirești Rural Police Station reported that the incident was caused by the teenager's inattention. The one-year-old victim was transported to a hospital for medical care and is expected to undergo surgery, though authorities stated his life is not in danger.

Law enforcement has opened a criminal case for domestic violence, noting that the two minors are related as uncle and nephew. The Dâmbovița General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection has been notified of the situation, and investigations are ongoing to determine the exact circumstances of the event.
