Dâmbovița parents arrested for assaulting school teacher

Two parents in Dâmbovița County, Romania, have been placed under 30-day preventive arrest following a violent assault on a 48-year-old school teacher. The incident occurred in Pătroaia-Vale as students were returning from a school trip to Predeal.

The attack was reportedly triggered by the teacher reprimanding the parents' 8-year-old son during the excursion. According to police, the parents, aged 27 and 32, confronted and struck the teacher with fists and palms in front of other students. During the altercation, two minors, aged 7 and 8, sustained injuries, though none of the involved parties required hospitalization.

The suspects are being investigated for assault and disturbing public order and peace. The Găești Court issued the arrest warrants following a 24-hour detention period coordinated by the Găești Prosecutor's Office.
