Dmitry Medvedev denies reports of new Russian mobilization

Russian Deputy President Dmitry Medvedev rejected recent rumours that the Kremlin is preparing a new mobilisation of troops. He called the claims a "deceitful provocation" and part of enemy propaganda aimed at destabilising the country ahead of upcoming elections. Medvedev said, "There is no need for mobilisation," and dismissed reports of forced conscription as lies spread by a side that itself lacks manpower.

The statements were reported by media outlets in the Czech Republic and Serbia, both quoting Medvedev’s insistence that the alleged recruitment tactics—such as rounding up citizens and loading them onto buses—are fabricated.
