DMK Extends Deadline for Election Loss Review Report to June 10

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has pushed back the submission deadline for its internal review committee on the party’s unexpected defeat in the Tamil Nadu state assembly election. The deadline was moved from 5 June to 10 June, giving the 38‑member panel additional time to collect feedback from party workers, candidates, and officials throughout the state.

The committee, set up by DMK president M.K. Stalin, is also using an online portal that has already recorded around five‑hundred thousand responses. The panel’s mandate is to analyse the reasons for the loss—including campaign strategy, candidate selection, local issues, and organisational weaknesses—and propose recommendations to strengthen the party for future contests.
