dm's free skin‑screening campaign reaches 718 participants in Bosnia and Herzegovina
The 13th cycle of dm’s free dermoscopic skin‑screening campaign was held this summer in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Tuzla and Mostar. A total of 718 citizens were examined, and 112 were referred for further diagnostic tests, up from 83 referrals out of 775 examinations the previous year.
Ajla Hadžić, marketing manager for dm BiH, said the initiative is part of the company’s socially responsible strategy and highlighted the growing public trust: “The number of people referred for additional examinations this year again confirms how important it is to act promptly and not postpone health care.” The campaign also offered UV‑index checks, expert advice on sun protection, and distributed a collaborative book titled “Sjene naslijeđa” with Bosnian author Melisa Krnić to promote regular sunscreen use.
Overall, the program, now in its 13th year, has provided free dermoscopic exams to 7,913 citizens and recommended further testing for 1,475, underscoring the value of early detection in skin health.
