DMV area hosts various Labor Day celebrations

Various community events are scheduled across the DMV area to celebrate Labor Day, honoring the history of the American labor movement.

In Greenbelt, Maryland, the annual celebration includes carnival rides, games, a pet show, and the 70th Annual Greenbelt Labor Day Parade. Glen Echo Park is hosting its 55th annual Labor Day Art Show, featuring local paintings, sculptures, and photography.

Other regional activities include a barbecue and outdoor games at Shipgarten in Tysons, Virginia, and a free patriotic concert by the National Symphony Orchestra at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C. Additionally, Gaithersburg, Maryland, will host its annual Labor Day parade.
