DN Hjørring to host annual meeting focusing on local nature policy

The Hjørring branch of the Danish Society for Nature Conservation (DN Hjørring) will hold its annual meeting on October 22 at Spejdergården Højvælde. The meeting will include the board's annual report and the election of members and substitutes to the board.

A central part of the agenda is a presentation by Jens Pedersen, team leader from Team Nature in Hjørring Municipality, regarding the local tripartite agreement. The discussion will focus on how land conversion plans are being implemented within the municipal plan and the challenges of translating broad environmental strategies into local solutions.

Additionally, the annual report will address key nature issues, including nature conservation and the impact of renewable energy facilities, such as solar, wind, and biogas plants, on the local landscape and land use.
