DNB's Jan Ole Huseby calls for maritime industry cooperation

To facilitate this, the Oslo Ocean Days event is scheduled for September 8-10, 2026, in Oslo. The initiative aims to bring together industry leaders, investors, and policymakers to address fast-moving topics and foster international networking.

Regarding the industry's decarbonization efforts, Huseby notes that while geopolitical and economic noise has occasionally distracted from necessary transformations, technology is becoming a primary driver for progress. He suggests that the wider-scale adoption of proven technologies is creating a pull factor that delivers both commercial and environmental efficiencies for the global fleet.
