Döner kebab density rankings released for German cities

A statistical analysis of döner kebab shop density across Germany reveals significant regional variations. According to data from Listflix, Duisburg holds the highest density in the country with 13.34 shops per 100,000 inhabitants, closely followed by Mannheim at 13.21.

In Bavaria, Augsburg ranks highest with 11.29 shops per 100,000 inhabitants, placing fourth nationally. While Nuremberg maintains a density of 7.18, Munich does not appear in the top 30 for density. Hamburg also shows a high concentration with 9.02 shops per 100,000 inhabitants, placing it above the national average of 7.37.

In terms of absolute numbers, North Rhine-Westphalia leads Germany with 1,309 establishments, followed by Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria. The industry is largely composed of small-scale operations, with 90.8 percent of the more than 6,000 shops nationwide classified as small businesses or micro-enterprises.
