Vietnam Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng chairs legislative session on key law reforms

Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng chaired a specialized legislative session in September 2026 to review several critical draft laws and resolutions. Key legislative items under discussion include amendments to the Land Law, Housing Law, Real Estate Business Law, and the State Budget Law. The Prime Minister emphasized that the legal framework must be completed promptly to facilitate national development and prevent local or group interests from dominating policy-making.

In related administrative and economic developments, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development reported that agricultural and forestry exports reached approximately 49.3 billion USD in the first eight months of 2026. Additionally, efforts are underway to integrate electronic land use certificates into the VNeID application to modernize administrative procedures.

Other notable updates include the appointment of Dương Đức Huy as the Director of the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection, and a government crackdown on environmental violations in Gia Lai, where eight pig farming facilities were fined 930 million VND for improper waste management.
