Dnipro railway station hit by Russian drone attack
A Russian drone attack on a major railway station in Dnipro, Ukraine, killed at least 14 to 15 people and injured dozens on Thursday morning. The strike occurred while citizens were waiting for a passenger train to depart for Zaporizhzhia.
In addition to the station strike, Russian attacks hit a student dormitory in Dnipro, causing fires, and targeted storage facilities in Kyiv with ballistic missiles. Regional authorities reported that the bombardments left approximately 350,000 families without electricity.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described the strikes as intentional attacks on civilians and called for increased international pressure and sanctions against Moscow. European leaders, including European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President António Costa, condemned the attacks, with Costa labeling them “barbaric and destructive.”
