DNIT contracts emergency bridge reconstruction on BR-365

The National Department of Transport Infrastructure (DNIT) has signed an emergency contract for the reconstruction of a bridge over the Rio das Velhas on the BR-365 highway. The project is located at km 141.3, between the municipalities of Várzea da Palma and Pirapora.

The reconstruction will require an investment of R$ 56.9 million and will be carried out by Sociedade Geral de Empreitadas Ltda. The emergency measure was authorized following technical reports indicating a progressive loss of structural rigidity and an accelerated deterioration process of the existing crossing.
