Do Quang Vinh leaves Vietravel Airlines Board of Directors
Do Quang Vinh, Chairman of Saigon - Hanoi Securities (SHS), has stepped down from his position on the Board of Directors of Vietravel Airlines, effective August 18, 2026. According to SHS, the move is intended to ensure compliance with the Law on Credit Institutions, which prohibits non-independent board members of credit institutions from simultaneously serving as managers or executives in other enterprises.
Despite leaving the board, Vinh will remain associated with the airline as an advisor to support its ongoing development. Vinh, the eldest son of T&T Group founder Do Quang Hien, also serves as Vice Chairman and Deputy General Director of SHB Bank.
This leadership change occurs as Vietravel Airlines pursues fleet and network expansion. The airline recently received an Airbus A321 aircraft at Noi Bai International Airport and plans to launch new domestic routes from Ho Chi Minh City to Hai Phong and Thanh Hoa starting October 1. The carrier is also preparing to operate a regular international route between Hanoi and Shenzhen.
