Doğan Avcıoğlu Awards open for academic research submissions

The fifth Doğan Avcıoğlu Awards have officially opened for applications. Organized through a partnership between the Odunpazarı Municipality and Tekin Publishing, the program aims to preserve the intellectual legacy of Doğan Avcıoğlu, the founder of Yön and Devrim magazines, and encourage new scientific research among younger generations.

Submissions are accepted in five specific fields: history, economics, politics, development, and sociology. Works can be either published or unpublished. For published works, the first printing must have occurred between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025. All entries must be written in Turkish and must be research-based studies. Works that have previously won other awards are ineligible.

Applications can be made by the authors themselves or nominated by third parties or institutions. However, works nominated by third parties must be published and carry an official bandroll. Applicants must submit seven copies of the work along with the author's CV and contact information. Approved doctoral theses may be submitted electronically.
