Doboj Mayor Boris Jerinić Accused of Undeclared Property
Boris Jerinić secured a third term as mayor of Doboj in the 2024 local elections. In the asset declaration he filed with the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CIKBiH) in November, he omitted a duplex apartment, a commercial premises and two garages that are owned by his wife, Aleksandra Jerinić, in Doboj. Jerinić told journalists the omission was a mistake that can be corrected and denied any intent to conceal assets.
The declaration listed his own assets – a house, land, commercial space, a BMW X1 and a bank account – valuing about 305,000 KM, and his wife's assets – an apartment in Serbia, a Range Rover Evoque and a bank account – valued at roughly 178,000 KM. Bosnian law requires officials to report all assets over 5,000 KM, including those of spouses and dependents, but CIKBiH does not verify the accuracy of the statements. Jerinić has filed asset cards repeatedly since 2010, serving previously as a member of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, deputy defence minister, and mayor for three terms, with past declarations showing a steady increase in property and loans.
