Dobri Dyal hosts 10th anniversary Potato Festival

The village of Dobri Dyal celebrated the tenth anniversary of its Potato Festival, a traditional autumn event featuring nearly 100 potato-based dishes. Organized by Chitalishte P. R. Slaveykov-1903 with support from the Lyaskovets Municipality and the local pensioners' club, the festival combined culinary competition with folklore performances.

In the sweet category, Gabi Dimitrova won first place with a potato cheesecake, followed by Zhaneta Radkova with potato cream in cups. In the savory category, a Banat-style dish featuring smoked meat and potatoes from Chitalishte P. Petar Parchevich 1927 in Asenovo took the top prize. The event also featured folklore groups from several regions and a theatrical performance by local schoolchildren.
