Dobrudzha Dobrich football club faces potential liquidation
The Bulgarian football club Dobrudzha Dobrich is facing potential liquidation due to a severe financial crisis. According to the club’s interim management, the financial situation is more critical than previously reported during the August 14 general assembly.
Key outstanding debts include approximately €59,000 in unpaid social security contributions and corporate taxes, as well as €36,273 in unpaid wages for players for June and July. Additionally, former players are claiming roughly €60,000, and the total amount of debt to various suppliers remains uncertain due to missing documentation.
Interim manager Georgi Stoyanov stated that an urgent rescue plan is required, noting that the club’s future is hanging by a thread. Former president Sergey Serafimov has reportedly refused to settle the accumulated debts to the players, and the previous Board of Directors has declined to provide funds for the team’s upcoming match against Marek. Stoyanov has called for full transparency and accountability regarding the club's financial obligations.
