Dockworkers in 100 cities to block supplies to Israel

Dock and port workers across 17 countries are scheduled to participate in an international day of action on October 30. The movement, involving representatives from more than 100 ports, aims to peacefully disrupt and block the transfer of military, energy, and dual-use supplies to Israel.

Organizers, including the Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC), are calling for an end to what they describe as Israeli aggression and US-Israeli wars. The action seeks to pressure governments to impose a full military embargo on Israel and terminate trade, economic, and academic relations that support its occupation.

Participants in cities such as Liverpool, along with workers in Italy, Mexico, Turkey, the US, Morocco, and India, argue that rising military budgets are contributing to global economic crises and the erosion of public services like health and education. The movement links the struggle for Palestinian justice to broader global opposition to militarization and systemic oppression.
