Docomo SMTB Net Bank enables automatic national tax payments

Docomo SMTB Net Bank announced that, effective September 24, 2026, its accounts can be used for the automatic transfer of national taxes. This service allows customers to designate their accounts for the payment of income tax, reconstruction special income tax, and consumption tax for sole proprietors.

The automatic transfer system is designed to reduce the administrative burden on taxpayers by allowing scheduled payments directly from a designated account, eliminating the need to perform manual procedures at a financial institution for every payment. This addition expands the bank's existing range of automatic payment services, which already include utilities such as electricity, gas, and water, as well as national pension insurance premiums.

Customers can apply for this service by submitting a required form to their local tax office or by using the online application process available through the National Tax Agency's website.
