Doctor Foster to return for third and final series in 2027
The BBC has announced that the psychological drama Doctor Foster will return for a third and final series in 2027. The new season will consist of five episodes and picks up the story approximately a decade after the events of the previous seasons.
Lead actors Suranne Jones, Bertie Carvel, and Tom Taylor are confirmed to reprise their roles as Gemma, Simon, and Tom Foster. New cast members joining the production include Dustin Demri-Burns, who will play Gemma’s new partner, Callum, as well as Rosalie Craig and several others.
Jodie Comer, who played Kate Parks in the earlier series, will not be returning. Filming for the final chapter reportedly commenced in the Hertfordshire area during the spring.
