Doctors warn against influencer's 'shopping bag' penis-growing method

Influencer Braden Peters, known online as Clavicular, has promoted a controversial method for increasing penis size called the ‘shopping bag hang.’ During an interview on the podcast ‘Howie Mandel Does Stuff,’ the 20-year-old described wrapping a bag filled with weights or books around the shaft to stretch the suspensory ligament, claiming it could result in an inch of additional length.

Medical professionals are warning against this practice. Dr. Rajesh Patel, president and former Chief Medical Officer of Associated Urological Specialists, stated that the method is dangerous because users cannot control the amount of force being applied. He noted that while medical penile traction devices exist to provide controlled tension, DIY methods can cause serious injury to delicate blood vessels, nerves, and erectile tissue, potentially leading to bruising, swelling, skin injury, and significant pain.
