Lindsey Graham documentary alleges sexual encounters with male escorts
A new documentary titled “The CLOSETocracy,” produced by The Young Turks and Swamp Watch Studios, features allegations from three men claiming they were paid for sexual encounters with the late U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham.
One participant, identified as Kelvin, alleges he was 17 years old during an encounter in Arizona in 2001. He claims Graham questioned his age during the meeting. Another man, Cory Burns (also known as Sean Harding), describes an alleged encounter at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C., in 2015. A third man, Jesse, recounts alleged encounters in Washington, D.C., between 2012 and 2014.
The film contrasts these allegations with Graham’s public political record, specifically his opposition to LGBTQ+ rights and legislation such as the Equality Act. While the filmmakers state they have provided travel receipts and documents that correspond with Graham’s public schedule, the allegations have not been independently verified.
The release comes as Graham’s sister, Darline Graham, is campaigning for his former Senate seat in South Carolina. Conservative commentators and spokespeople for Turning Point USA have dismissed the documentary, characterizing it as a political attack and noting that rumors regarding Graham’s sexuality had circulated for years.
