Documentary films exploring generational themes to be screened in San Marino and Merano
Two documentary films are scheduled for upcoming screenings in Italy and San Marino, focusing on generational connections and social themes.
In San Marino, Cinema Concordia will host the screening of ‘E se ora, lontano – un’altra voce esiste’, directed by Massimo Selis. The documentary explores the experiences of eleven twenty-year-olds who spend ten days in a deconsecrated church near Lake Trasimeno. Through the creation of a free radio station, the film examines themes such as civic engagement, community, and the impact of technology on personal identity.
In Merano, the Centro per la Cultura will present ‘Roots in the Rock’, a documentary by Alessandro Turi and Fabio Tomassoni. The film follows three generations of climbers from Caltavuturo, Sicily, as they navigate a historic climbing route. The narrative focuses on the bond between the climbers and their connection to their ancestral territory, using rock climbing as a symbol of the link between past and future.
