Acea awards Romeo Pizzol for winning water sustainability film contest
The short film “Un lavoretto pulito,” directed by Romeo Pizzol, has won the third edition of the “I mille volti dell’acqua” contest. The competition was organized by Acea in collaboration with the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia to promote awareness regarding water sustainability and resource protection.
The winning film, which explores the theme of water purification through a dialogue between an engineer and a child on a beach, was screened during the opening night of the Festa del Cinema di Roma. Pizzol received the Acea Prize along with a 5,000 euro contribution. The contest featured over 90 entries from around the world, evaluated by both technical experts and company employees.
Director Romeo Pizzol noted that the production was a challenging effort filmed under intense heat in Anzio. He drew inspiration from his background in environmental chemistry and his experience at water treatment plants to bring the subject to life.
