Documentary premieres and cultural tributes announced in Argentina and Spain

The documentary ‘El Sueño de Magalí’, directed by Fabián Pérez Battaglini, is set to premiere at the Teatro Municipal de Necochea on August 28. The film reconstructs the life and memory of Magalí Vera, a victim of femicide, focusing on her identity and dreams rather than solely on the crime itself. The premiere will be free to the public, with non-perishable food donations requested for local shelters.

In Spain, the GENERAMMA festival will honor journalist, writer, and screenwriter Juan José Téllez on September 17 at the Teatro Moderno in Chiclana. The tribute recognizes Téllez’s career in Andalusian journalism and his work as a documentary screenwriter. The event will include a screening of the documentary ‘Acuérdate de mí’ by Remedios Malvárez, followed by a colloquium featuring Téllez and the director.
