Argentine cultural scene hosts new documentary premieres

Several documentary premieres are scheduled in Argentina, focusing on prominent artistic figures.

Cineclub Casero, supported by the Micro U project, will host the exclusive Argentine premiere of ‘Santiago Sierra – El dedo en la llaga’. Directed by Enrique Palacio, the documentary explores the career of Spanish artist Santiago Sierra, known for provocative works in performance, video, and photography that critique social, economic, and political injustices.

Additionally, the documentary ‘Retrato de un pianista’, directed by José Luis Nacci and Elena Konieczny, is set for commercial release on October 1. The film follows Argentine pianist Antonio Formaro, documenting his rehearsal routines, teaching career, and his efforts to recover musical heritage in various towns. The film features highlights from his career, including performances at the Teatro Colón and international tours.
