Documentary project honors mathematician Mario Volpato

A new documentary has been launched to chronicle the life and professional legacy of Mario Volpato, a mathematician and former president of the Padua Chamber of Commerce from 1969 to 1982.

Volpato is recognized for his visionary role in shaping the Italian economic system, specifically through his contributions to the development of Cerved (now InfoCamere), the expansion of the Padua Interporto, and the advancement of intermodal transport concepts.

The project is a collaborative effort promoted by the Padua Chamber of Commerce and the ITS Digital Academy Mario Volpato, with support from the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo, InfoCamere, and Interporto Padova. The documentary aims to transform local historical memory into a national narrative by exploring both Volpato's professional innovations and his personal impact on the territory.
