Documentary screenings showcase Balkan cultural heritage

A free screening of the documentary "Slijedi me srcem" about the life and work of Fra Slavko Barbarić took place on 12 July at the Cultural‑Informational Centre in Čitluk. The event, organised by local prayer groups and RTV Herceg‑Bosne, also featured an exclusive interview with Joseph Ratzinger, later Pope Benedict XVI, and collected voluntary donations for the Majčina sela charitable project in Međugorje.

In Bogdanovci, Croatia, the documentary "Bogdanovci – Koraci koji ostaju" was presented at the Croatian House. The film traces the settlement’s pre‑historical development, highlighting archaeological finds that date back almost eight thousand years. Mayor Marko Barun stressed the importance of the discovery for the region’s identity and noted the cooperation of local museums and cultural institutions.
