Documentary ‘The Cycle of Love’ premieres in New York

The documentary ‘The Cycle of Love’ has premiered at the Directors Guild of America Theater in Manhattan, New York. The film tells the true story of P. K. Mahanandia and Lotta von Schedvin.

In 1977, Lotta, a Swedish woman, met Mahanandia, an Indian artist in Delhi. Following their meeting, the couple faced the challenge of maintaining their relationship across different cultures and distances. To reunite with Lotta, Mahanandia embarked on an extraordinary bicycle journey from India to Sweden, traveling approximately 10,000 kilometers (6,000 miles) and crossing about a dozen countries.

Directed by Orlando von Einsiedel, the film was produced by Emily Mahanandia von Schedvin, the daughter of the couple. The documentary focuses on their unique bond and the epic journey undertaken to bridge the distance between India and Sweden.
