Doda security forces recover terrorist remains and M4 rifle
Security forces in the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir have recovered the remains of a Pakistani terrorist along with an M4 assault rifle during a joint search operation. The operation was conducted by a combined team including the Jammu and Kashmir Police Special Operations Group (SOG), the Indian Army's Rashtriya Rifles, and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
The recovered M4 rifle is noted for its modern capabilities, including night-vision features, making it effective for urban and nighttime combat. Reports indicate the weapon is of American manufacture, similar to those used by NATO and U.S. forces during the conflict in Afghanistan. Security agencies have expressed long-standing concerns regarding the flow of such advanced weaponry from Afghanistan into the hands of militant groups in Pakistan and subsequently into Kashmir.
While the specific identity of the deceased terrorist has not been officially released, initial reports link the individual to militant organizations such as Jaish-e-Mohammed or Lashkar-e-Taiba. This recovery follows recent intensified search operations by investigative agencies across the region.
