Dodge announces 2027 Charger Super Bee with 600 hp engine
Dodge has announced the 2027 Charger Super Bee Launch Edition, a high-performance model featuring a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged Hurricane inline-six engine. The engine produces 600 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque, marking a 50-horsepower increase over the standard Scat Pack configuration.
To support sustained track performance and prevent thermal throttling, engineers have implemented significant hardware upgrades. These include larger 56mm Garrett turbochargers, enhanced cooling systems with upgraded intercoolers and heat exchangers, and 10% stronger half-shafts. The vehicle features all-wheel drive as standard, though drivers can switch to rear-wheel drive.
CEO Matt McArthur stated that while the Super Bee will initially be a limited Launch Edition for the 2027 model year, the company plans to expand availability to a broader customer base by 2028. Additionally, Dodge is developing a smaller GLH model to target the sedan and sport hatchback segments.
