Dodge to return to NASCAR Cup Series in 2027

Dodge, owned by Stellantis, has announced its return to the NASCAR Cup Series for the 2027 season. The announcement, made at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, marks the brand's return to the premier category 14 years after winning the championship with Brad Keselowski in 2012.

Kaulig Racing will serve as the anchor team, fielding a two-car operation using the Dodge Charger. The team is expected to announce its driver lineup during the championship weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway. While specific drivers have not been formally confirmed, AJ Allmendinger and Ty Dillon are expected to fill the seats.

Dodge will be the first new manufacturer to join the Cup Series since Toyota in 2007, expanding the field to four manufacturers alongside Chevrolet, Ford, and Toyota. The brand plans to unveil its new racing stock car on December 4, 2026, at the Snowball Derby in Florida. The official competitive debut is scheduled for the Daytona 500 in February 2027.
