Dodge launches 2026 Durango R/T 392 Blacktop and 2027 Charger Purple Haze edition

Dodge introduced the 2026 Durango R/T 392 Blacktop Launch Edition, equipped with a standard 6.4‑liter HEMI V8 delivering 475 hp and 470 lb‑ft of torque, all‑wheel drive, Brembo brakes and a towing capacity aimed at utility buyers. The model accelerates from 0‑60 mph in 4.4 seconds, runs the quarter‑mile in 12.9 seconds and tops out at 160 mph. Priced at a base MSRP of $65,425, it also offers a Premium Package and a one‑day SRT performance driving school experience.

For 2027, Dodge marked the Charger’s 60th anniversary with an exclusive “Purple Haze” paint option, a high‑gloss clearcoat that adds $795 to the vehicle price. The color joins a suite of new factory‑customisation choices, including additional Mopar graphics, dual‑stripe options and interior leather colors. Production of the 2027 Charger is slated to begin arriving at dealerships in the third quarter of 2026.
