Dodge revives Super Bee nameplate for 2027 Charger

Dodge has announced the return of the Super Bee nameplate for the 2027 Charger. Moving away from the traditional HEMI V8, the new high-performance variant utilizes a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged Hurricane inline-six engine. This powertrain produces 608 horsepower and 720 Nm of torque, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 3.6 seconds.

Engineers have implemented several upgrades to support track performance, including enhanced cooling systems with auxiliary radiators, larger brakes, and improved aerodynamics designed to increase downforce. The vehicle features an all-wheel-drive system that can be switched to rear-wheel drive via a steering wheel button. Specialized driving modes such as ‘Track’ and ‘Drag’ are also included.

In a separate development, Chrysler showcased two custom concept versions of the 2027 Pacifica minivan at Roadkill Nights. These builds aim to appeal to growing Gen Z and Millennial interest in the segment, which has seen a 143% increase in buyers from these demographics over the last decade. Dodge CEO Matt McAlear indicated that while the Super Bee will initially launch as a limited edition, it is intended to reach a broader market by the 2028 model year.
