Dodge unveils 2027 Charger Super Bee with 600-hp Hurricane engine

Dodge has unveiled the 2027 Charger Super Bee Launch Edition, reviving a legendary performance nameplate. Marking the 60th anniversary of the Charger, this new model transitions from the traditional V8 to a high-output 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged Hurricane inline-six engine. The engine, featuring enlarged 56mm Garrett turbochargers, produces 600 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque.

The vehicle is designed for both straight-line speed and track capability, featuring all-wheel drive and a selectable rear-wheel-drive mode. Performance estimates include a 0-60 mph sprint in 3.6 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 11.8 seconds.

To support its performance, Dodge has implemented extensive cooling and aerodynamic upgrades, including a high-flow front fascia, auxiliary radiators, a larger front splitter, and a performance rear spoiler. Hardware enhancements include Brembo braking systems with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers, adaptive damping suspension, and 20-inch forged wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires. The Launch Edition is available in two-door and four-door styles with exclusive colors including Sucker Punch, Shady, and Diamond Black.
