Dodo Pizza enters Mexican market with expansion plan
Dodo Pizza has launched its first restaurant in Mexico, located in Zapopan, Jalisco. The international pizzeria chain entered the country through a master franchise agreement with local operator Helper Holding.
The company has outlined an ambitious expansion strategy, aiming to establish 200 outlets across Mexico by the end of 2035. The initial phase involves opening ten company-owned restaurants in Jalisco during the first year, followed by a broader rollout through sub-franchising.
The Zapopan location features an open kitchen and self-service kiosks, focusing primarily on takeaway orders. To appeal to local tastes, the menu includes specialized items such as pepperoni pizza with jalapeños and mango sauce, as well as options featuring chimichurri. The company will also implement its proprietary cloud-based management platform, Dodo IS, to oversee operations and franchise logistics.
