Dodô’s contract rescinded by Náutico, cleared to join Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors

On 30 July 2026 Brazil’s National Dispute Resolution Chamber (CNRD) issued a preliminary injunction terminating midfielder Dodô’s contract with Clube Náutico Capibaribe after the club failed to provide proof of the R$ 800 000 purchase‑option payment required by its loan agreement with Coimbra‑MG. The decision was recorded by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) in the Daily Information Bulletin, freeing the player to complete a transfer to South Korea’s Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.

Náutico released a statement saying it received the ruling with “estranhamento” (surprise) and will present a formal defence within the legally‑prescribed period. Club president Bruno Becker announced a press conference for 31 July to clarify the matter. The underlying dispute, concerning the option to buy Dodô’s economic rights from Coimbra‑MG, remains subject to further legal assessment.
