Dog nutrition: New meat menus and dietary safety guidelines
Bosch Tiernahrung has introduced the MEAT MENUE line for dogs, which combines baked chicken pieces with high-quality dry food kibble. The product range includes varieties such as Adult Turkey & Chicken, which is grain-free and uses potatoes and tapioca, and Adult Beef & Chicken, which utilizes rice and millet. These recipes are designed to support dogs with sensitive digestion or gluten intolerances.
Regarding general canine nutrition, experts note that while healthy dogs can consume small amounts of plain, unseasoned cream cheese, it should be given only occasionally due to its high saturated fat content. The World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) recommends that all treats combined should constitute less than ten percent of a dog's daily caloric intake to prevent weight gain and maintain nutritional balance. Owners are also cautioned to avoid feeding dogs chocolate and grapes.
